The next time you come to the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, please consider staying in my cottage.   It is available on a “short-term” basis and is fully furnished.  It would be great for families and friends who might be in the area for weddings, family reunions or any other occasion.  If you would like further information, please contact me.

You can see this cottage on my website - www.cathy-taylor.com

I participated in a Progressive Realtor Open House Luncheon today at one of my favorite subdivisions, The Villas at Quail Creek Estates!

Nice turn-out with 11 Realtors, a neighbor and a banker participating.

My listing is an excellent house in mint condition!  A lovely approx.1,858 square foot villa which was built in 1999 on an extra large lot.  It has gorgeous wisteria and bradford pear trees as well as lush landscaping.  The brick and vinyl exterior allows for very low maintenance.  There are plantation shutters on some windows inside, a sprinkler system with rain sensor, a fireplace with a built-in tv area above, a whirlpool tub with separate shower in the master bath, and a double garage.  The house is walking distance to the neighborhood pool and tennis court as well as Fairhope’s Quail Creek Golf Course.  There are no annual dues unless you choose to participate in the Quail Creek Civic Association which is $20 a year or the Quail Creek Swim & Racquet Club which is $150 a year.

This house shouldn’t last too much longer since it is the only home on the street for sale!

My First Blog…

Posted by Cathy Taylor under For Realty Professionals

Thank you Cal Carter, www.gulfshoreslife.com for helping our office at Keller Williams Realty, Alabama Gulf Coast, www.kwalabamagulfcoast.com this past week to set up our “blogging ability” through the KW intranet site.  We, as Real Estate Professionals, all need to get on the “technology train” to keep up with the newest, latest and greatest tools our business has to offer.

I guess I am showing my age when I say that it seems like yesterday when I was typing on my IBM Selectric typewriter…through 3 layers of carbon paper, only to finish my document finding errors…then I had to either “white it out” or start all over again!  There were also days I had to travel to various friend’s offices who had “FAX machines”…does anyone remember the DEX machine - where you would put your paper in a tube and it would go round-and-round until “magically” the copied paper would appear at the telephone number you dialed?  This was the first FAX machine I came in contact with.  I can talk about all of those “first” computers in a blog later…there were many!

Where are we going with all of this technology….I’m swimming as fast as I can and am proud to be a part of its future, but my BRAIN HURTS sometimes keeping up!
